Wether you are making a DIY project or you are buing clothes on line, it is essential to know exactly what you size is.
Ideally you should have a friend over and take each others measurements but you can take them yor self as l did here.
The four most important measurements are the bust, waist and hip measurements, that will be a guide to find your size, plus the desired length of the garment that you plan to make or buy.
To take the first three you need a measuring tape, to measure length, a long ruler might be more suitable or you can attach some weight to the end of your tape and use that instead.
I am wearing shorts and top for modesty but you should take your measurements in your underwear.
Wrap the tape not too tight but not loosely either around:
The widest point of your bust, the narrowest point of your waist and the widest point of your hips.
To measure the length of a dress or top, stand in front of the mirror, hold the non weighted end of your tape on your shoulder and see where is the desired length. To measure the length of a skirt do the same from your waist.
Now that you have your measurement you can use The Amazing Fress Size Calculator, to determine you dress size in any countlry.Remember that your weight might flunctuate so you should take your measurements form time to time.
